The SCO will act as a trusted advisor to senior management and the Board, providing expert guidance on regulatory obligations, risk exposure, and compliance best practices across sectors including IT, Finance, Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency, Oil & Gas. The Senior Compliance Officer (SCO) will lead the design, implementation, and oversight of the organization’s compliance framework across multiple business units. This role ensures that all operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Program Leadership: Design, implement, and continuously improve enterprise-wide compliance programs across all business lines. Monitor regulatory developments and update compliance frameworks in line with evolving laws and industry standards. Regulatory Oversight & Engagement: Ensure adherence to all applicable local and international regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact with regulators and oversee regulatory communications, reviews, and examinations. Risk Assessment & Management: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses. Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks across operations. Policy Development & Training: Lead compliance training and awareness programs for employees and management. Develop, review, and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls. Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, findings, and remediation actions. Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management and the Board. Investigations & Enforcement: Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions, ensuring timely follow-up. Lead and oversee internal investigations related to compliance breaches or regulatory concerns. Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Provide ongoing compliance advisory support to executive leadership and business teams. Communicate regulatory expectations, updates, and compliance obligations across the organization. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 7 years’ experience: in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. ACAMS certification is compulsory. N700,000 monthly.
