We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Family Physician Location: Ughelli, Delta Employment Type: Full-time Job Description The job holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive, continuous, and patient-centred primary healthcare to individuals and families across all age groups, including preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Responsibilities: Referring patients to specialists and coordinating multidisciplinary care Providing antenatal, postnatal, and child health services where required Collaborating with nursing staff, specialists, and other departments to ensure continuity of care Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education: Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation and patient records Providing health education: and counselling to patients and families Managing chronic disease conditions and coordinating long-term care Providing preventive care, health screening, and immunisation services Qualifications Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and people management skills MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution Sound knowledge of primary healthcare protocols and evidence-based clinical guidelines Valid registration and practising licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and clinical risk management practices Knowledge of relevant health legislation and regulatory requirements.
