We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Station Manager Location: Owerri, Imo Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven, and highly responsible Station Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our filling station. The successful candidate will take full ownership of station performance, sales, inventory, cash control, people management, customer service, safety, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate must be proactive, disciplined, commercially aware, and able to make sound decisions in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the overall daily operations of the filling station to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service. Maintain proper custody and accountability of company assets, products, cash, and records. Ensure strict compliance with company SOPs, HSE requirements, fire safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Identify, investigate, and promptly escalate shortages, variances, leakages, or unusual transactions. Take immediate action on operational, safety, or staffing issues that may affect sales or business continuity. Ensure accurate reconciliation of product stock, pump sales, cash, POS, transfers, and other payment channels. Drive sales growth and achievement of station targets through effective operational and customer management. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, station appearance, equipment condition, and customer experience. Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution of service issues. Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly station performance reports. Identify opportunities to improve sales, operational efficiency, cost control, customer retention, and profitability. Monitor staff performance and ensure achievement of individual and station-level KPIs. Ensure safe receipt, storage, handling, and dispensing of petroleum products. Supervise, schedule, and manage station staff, ensuring adequate staffing, discipline, productivity, and adherence to assigned duties. Coordinate with Finance, Haulage, Maintenance, Audit, and Head Office to resolve operational issues. Ensure station equipment, pumps, tanks, generators, and other assets are properly maintained and faults are promptly reported. Monitor daily fuel sales, pump readings, tank levels, product movements, and stock balances. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience: in filling station operations, retail management, or the downstream oil & gas sector. OND / HND /B.Sc. in Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Marketing, or a related discipline. Ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and make sound decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant operational/reporting systems. Proven experience: managing fuel station sales, inventory, cash, and frontline employees. Good understanding of petroleum retail operations and HSE requirements. Strong knowledge of stock management, reconciliation, cash control, and operational reporting. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Good numerical and analytical ability. High level of integrity, discipline, accountability, and attention to detail.
