The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits, identifying control weaknesses, assessing business risks, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, and recommending process improvements. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly ethical Internal Auditor to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's internal controls, risk management processes, and governance framework. The Internal Auditor will work closely with various departments to safeguard company assets, enhance operational efficiency, and support the achievement of organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities: Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas requiring management attention. Review financial records, accounting transactions, and operational processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies. Perform branch audits, cash counts, inventory verification, and fixed asset inspections. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices. Review procurement processes, vendor transactions, and contract compliance to identify control gaps. Identify operational, financial, compliance, and fraud risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Support external auditors by providing relevant audit documentation and information during statutory audits. Maintain confidentiality of audit information and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics. Conduct planned and ad-hoc internal audits across finance, operations, sales, inventory, procurement, service, and administrative functions. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, internal policies, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements. Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution of identified issues. Assist in developing and updating audit programs, methodologies, and standard operating procedures. Prepare detailed audit working papers, findings, and reports with practical recommendations for management. Investigate suspected fraud, irregularities, and policy violations, and report findings to management. Prepare periodic audit reports and present findings to the Audit Manager or Head of Audit. Continuously monitor emerging risks and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's control environment. Key Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization. Willingness to travel to branch locations for audit assignments where required. Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills. Experience: using ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is an added advantage. Experience: conducting operational, financial, compliance, and investigative audits. Ability to work independently, manage multiple audit assignments, and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance principles. Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline. High level of integrity, objectivity, and professionalism. Good understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance requirements. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience: in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or compliance. ACA, ACCA, CIA, or other relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
