We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team in Lagos. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location: Lekki, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time The Role The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting activities, monitoring payments and expenses, supporting financial reporting and ensuring strong financial controls across the business. The successful candidate must be commercially aware, highly detail-oriented and comfortable working closely with Management, Procurement and Project Management teams. Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely statutory remittances. Review invoices and supporting documents before payment. Provide accurate financial information to Management to support decision-making. Monitor payables, receivables and payment schedules. Identify discrepancies and financial control issues and escalate them appropriately. Maintain and update accounting records on Zoho. Track project-related expenses and maintain accurate cost records. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts. Support budgeting, expense monitoring and financial analysis. Prepare monthly financial reports and management accounts. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Monitor cash flow and support cash-flow planning. Review contracts and payment terms from a financial perspective. Manage daily accounting transactions and financial records. Requirements: Good understanding of statutory deductions and remittances. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. ICAN / ACCA qualification is an added advantage. Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience: with accounting software; Zoho experience: is an advantage. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with other departments.
