We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Finance/Account Officer Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Head of Accounts Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Account Officer to support the company’s accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and numerical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, performing reconciliations, monitoring receivables, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions. Support internal and external audit processes. Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances. Assist with tax, pension, and other statutory compliance requirements. Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and financial records. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records. Prepare periodic financial and management reports. Assist the Head of Accounts with other accounting and financial management activities as required. Perform bank and account reconciliations. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies. Support budgeting and financial reporting activities. Qualifications & Requirements: High level of accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and effectively within a team. ACA, ACCA, or ICAN certification is mandatory. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. 2–5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience. Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills. Experience: in a microfinance institution, financial services company, or related sector will be an added advantage.
