We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Project Management Officer Location: Costain, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Project Management Officer will be responsible for maintaining effective project documentation, tracking project progress, monitoring timelines and deliverables, coordinating project activities, and providing timely reports to support informed management decisions The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved quality and safety standards. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Management Officer to support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and successful execution of construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Assist in monitoring the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and other resources required for project execution. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor project progress against approved timelines, milestones, budgets, and deliverables, and promptly highlight delays, risks, and potential issues. Maintain an up-to-date project risk, issue, and change log, escalating critical matters to the Project Manager when necessary. Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, status updates, meeting minutes, action trackers, and other relevant project documentation. Support project close-out activities, including documentation, lessons learned, handover processes, and post-project reviews. Ensure project documentation, approvals, contracts, drawings, reports, and other records are properly maintained and easily accessible. Support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of construction projects from initiation through completion. Support project teams in identifying operational challenges and developing practical solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns. Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, trackers, and project documentation to ensure timely execution of project activities. Monitor compliance with approved project procedures, company policies, health and safety requirements, and relevant construction standards. Track project costs and expenditure in collaboration with the Finance and Project teams, ensuring activities remain within approved budgets. Assist in preparing project presentations and management reports, providing insights on project performance, progress, risks, and outstanding actions. Qualifications and Experience: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to company values.
