We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Accountant Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on and detail-orientedAccountantwith3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally gained within alaw firm or professional services environment. Key Responsibilities: Identify discrepancies, investigate issues and ensure timely resolution. Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses and general ledger transactions. Liaise with partners, lawyers, clients, vendors and external accountants/auditors where required. Ensure compliance with the firm's internal financial controls and accounting procedures. Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations. Assist with cash-flow monitoring, budgeting and financial analysis. Support monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Track client-related payments, disbursements and expenses accurately. Prepare invoices and monitor client receivables and outstanding balances. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and reconciliations. Assist with audit preparation and respond to accounting queries. Support tax, statutory and regulatory compliance requirements. Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions. Provide financial information and reports to management as required. Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for the firm. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 3–5 years' accounting experience. Experience: in a professional services environment will also be considered. Experience: working in a law firm is strongly preferred.
