The successful candidate will assist in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, records management, and HR compliance while ensuring confidentiality, professionalism, and excellent service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment & Selection Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities, including preparing job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Conduct reference and background checks in line with the school's recruitment policies. Prepare employment documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and onboarding materials. Maintain an up-to-date recruitment database and talent pool. Onboarding & Employee Records Coordinate orientation and induction programmes for new employees. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both physical and electronic. Update HR databases with changes relating to employment status, promotions, transfers, and exits. Ensure all personnel files are complete and compliant with school policies. Performance Management Support the administration of the school's performance management system. Coordinate appraisal schedules and monitor completion of performance reviews. Assist managers in maintaining performance documentation. Prepare performance reports and identify trends for management review. Employee Relations Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR enquiries. Promote positive employee relations through effective communication and timely resolution of workplace issues. Assist in handling disciplinary and grievance procedures in accordance with school policies. Support employee engagement and staff welfare initiatives. Training & Development Coordinate staff training programmes and professional development activities. Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness. Identify learning and development needs in collaboration with department heads. Payroll & Leave Administration Prepare and submit payroll-related information accurately and within required timelines. Monitor attendance, leave balances, and staff absences. Maintain leave records and ensure compliance with leave policies. Support the administration of employee benefits: where applicable. HR Compliance Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and internal HR policies. Support policy implementation and communicate HR procedures to employees. Assist with internal and external HR audits. Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of sensitive employee information. HR Reporting & Documentation Prepare monthly HR reports, including recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, training, and workforce statistics. Develop and maintain HR templates, forms, and standard operating procedures. Ensure all HR documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly archived. Administrative Support Coordinate staff confirmation, promotion, transfer, and exit processes. Assist with organising staff meetings, welfare activities, and recognition programmes. Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Law, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
