The Head of Corporate Communications and Branding is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that align with Egbin Power Plc’s vision and business objectives. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with media stakeholders to enhance corporate visibility. Identify and proactively manage the growth of the Egbin brand and any issues which may impact reputation. Manage relationships with the host community by engaging stakeholders, addressing concerns, and aligning expectations to ensure smooth operations and foster collaboration that supports the business. Lead crisis communication efforts to protect and preserve the company’s reputation. Coordinate corporate events, product launches, CSR initiatives, and branding campaigns. Engage with regulators, partners, and community stakeholders through effective communication. Oversee the creation of press releases, newsletters, speeches, and other corporate communication materials. Manage the company’s reputation with stakeholders through regular communication of critical messages about company activities, plans, achievements, and contributions to society. Oversee and safeguard the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms. Provide leadership and mentorship to the communications and branding team, fostering innovation and professional growth. Develop and implement communication strategies that align with Egbin Power Plc’s vision and business objectives. Monitor communication activities, measure effectiveness, and provide regular reports to senior management. Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including NDPR, and uphold corporate governance standards. Manage internal communications to foster employee engagement and alignment with corporate goals. Supervise digital communication strategies and ensure an impactful presence across social media platforms. Education: and Work Experience: Professional certifications in Brand Management, Digital Marketing, or Corporate Communications (e.g., CIPR, CIM, IABC) are an added advantage. Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields Experience: working in large organisations or multinational companies is highly desirable. Experience: in media relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement. 10–15 years of progressive experience: in corporate communications, public relations, or branding. Skills and Competencies: Crisis communication and reputation management skills. Strong media relations and public affairs expertise. Proficiency in digital marketing and social media strategy.
