We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor Location: Yaba, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Job Responsibilities: The successful candidate shall assist in developing an overall audit strategy, the company's risk assessment process and Internal Audit's own assessment of risk. The Auditor Supervisor would be required to carry out work in the following areas: Supervise audit team to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures to record transactions Evaluate current audit procedures and recommend improvements. Perform audits for business operations, finances, compliance with policies and procedures. Discuss with management about audit observations, recommendations and actions to be taken. Evaluate and enhance internal controls to improve operational efficiency Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities. Coordinate with team to review audit findings. Analyze and resolve audit issues in a timely fashion. Oversee audit planning and reporting activities according to established policies. Assist in developing budgets and timelines for upcoming audits. Develop annual audit plan and coordinate audit activities. Communicate audit status to management on regular basis. Prepare reports with audit findings and recommendations. Evaluate performance of audit staff and provide appropriate feedback. Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity Qualifications & Experience: High integrity, attention to detail, confidentiality and sound professional judgment. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or other relevant professional certification is an advantage. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field. Strong knowledge of internal controls, risk management, accounting principles and regulatory compliance. Excellent analytical, investigative, communication and report-writing skills. 4–5 years of experience: in internal control, internal audit, compliance, risk management or a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; knowledge of ERP / accounting systems is an advantage.
