The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, achieving revenue targets, expanding the customer base, managing key accounts, and strengthening the company’s position in the market. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and manage the company’s sales operations. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers. Ensure compliance with approved pricing, discount, credit, and sales policies. Monitor individual and team sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary. Promote and sell the company’s products to distributors, wholesalers, retailers, corporate clients and other target customers. Support the development of product promotions, marketing campaigns and customer retention initiatives. Develop sales forecasts and provide input for production and inventory planning. Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of customer records, sales activities and account information. Analyze sales data, revenue performance, customer trends, and product movement to support business decisions. Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, competitor activities, and pricing opportunities. Recommend new products, packaging options, territories and sales channels to increase market share. Perform other sales and business development duties as assigned by management. Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily sales activities. Gather customer feedback and work with management and relevant departments to address complaints and improve service delivery. Negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts, and other commercial conditions within approved company guidelines. Manage key accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional customers. Develop and maintain an effective sales pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on leads and prospects. Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, customer meetings and industry events. Set sales targets for the sales team and monitor performance against agreed objectives. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, tenders, and commercial offers to customers. Liaise with logistics and distribution teams to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of customer orders. Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and ethical sales practices. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth targets. Monitor sales expenses and ensure efficient use of the sales budget. Conduct regular sales meetings and provide guidance on customer acquisition and account management. Monitor customer orders, sales invoices, payments, outstanding balances, and credit limits. Required Qualifications Proven experience: in achieving sales targets and managing a sales team. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience: in Sales Management, Business Development, or Commercial Operations. Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales Management, Economics, or a related field. Preferred Skills Knowledge of tissue paper products, paper converting, packaging formats and related market segments. Good knowledge of customer relationship management and sales reporting systems. Ability to prepare sales reports, analyze sales data, and make informed business recommendations. Strong understanding of market research, competitor analysis, pricing, and sales forecasting. Existing relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, institutions and corporate customers. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners. Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and sales management tools. Excellent negotiation, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience: managing regional, national, or institutional sales accounts. Knowledge of credit management, order processing, inventory coordination and distribution operations.
