Emel Hospital was established in 1988 by Dr. Olufemi Mobolaji-Lawal, a consultant paediatrician. Dr. Mobolaji-Lawal trained as a doctor at the University College Hospital, Ibadan and as a paediatrician in the United Kingdom. Prior to setting Emel Hospital, he worked for some time as consultant paediatrician at Ikeja General Hospital (now Lagos State University Teaching Hospital), Lagos. He is the board chairman and his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Margaret Mobolaji-Lawal is a non-executive director. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: ICU Nurse Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities: Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, medications, and responses to treatment. Recognize and promptly respond to changes in patients' conditions and medical emergencies. Maintain complete and up-to-date patient records in accordance with hospital policies. Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and unstable patients. Participate actively in multidisciplinary ward rounds and clinical discussions. Perform advanced nursing procedures in accordance with hospital protocols. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans. Operate and monitor life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators. Conduct thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor patients' conditions. Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, blood products, and treatments accurately and safely. Monitor vital signs, neurological status, oxygen saturation, and hemodynamic parameters. Communicate patients' progress and changes in condition promptly to the medical team. Requirements: Qualifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is an added advantage. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Post-basic qualification or certification in Critical Care Nursing is an added advantage. Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Practicing Licence. Experience: 2–3 years of post-qualification nursing experience. At least 1 year of ICU or Critical Care nursing experience: is preferred.
