This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to build productive supplier relationships while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company procurement policies. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and branch teams to prevent stock shortages and overstocking. Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing. Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and purchasing forecasts for management review. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and service agreements with suppliers. Collaborate with finance and accounts teams to reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments. Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and pricing schedules. Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery performance. Track orders from placement through delivery and resolve any supply or logistics issues promptly. Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations and recommend improvements where necessary. Requirements: and Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a retail supermarket, FMCG, wholesale, or distribution environment. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously. High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory coordination. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
