Come up with designs and sketches for the production line. Organise the repair of any damaged equipment Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals Applicant must be able to draft, Sketch, cut, and Sew. As a production manager, you'll oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations. Plan and draw up a production schedule Check that everything produced is to specification and to international quality and standard The Production Manager is to monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed. monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes. Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients Ensure that the production will be cost effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing budgets with both clients and managers Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance Source for fabrics. Supervise and motivate a team of workers Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met Examine the finished product carefully and look for flaws in them Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and customers Ensure that all the production targets are met Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed Review worker performance and identify training needs. Set the quality standards The job includes cost-tracking and spreadsheet maintenance so the applicant must be very good with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients Organise the repair of any damaged equipment. High level sewing and pattern making skills is an added advantage Ensure that finished clothing’s are properly labeled and packaged according to company standard of packaging these apparels You'll be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of the job is dealing with people and resource management. Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate including open market sourcing of Fabrics and sewing materials. Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes Qualifications Must have attention to detail, and an eye to sport errors from the start skills in order to avoid them and put up corrective measures Must be goal and target-driven with people skills. Interested candidates should possess an OND, NCE, HND, or experience. Must be highly disciplined and strict, with a no-nonsense attitude N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
