Read more about this company Store Attendant Job Type Contract Qualification Secondary School (SSCE) Experience: Location Lagos City Ikeja Job Field Procurement / Store-keeping / Supply Chain Job Summary The Store Attendant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the store by receiving, loading, offloading, arranging, issuing, and monitoring goods while maintaining accurate stock records and keeping the store clean, organised, and secure. Key Responsibilities: Load and offload goods from company and delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. Receive delivered goods and verify quantities, descriptions, and condition against delivery notes or invoices. Arrange and store goods properly to ensure easy identification and accessibility. Assist with moving goods within the store and loading items for dispatch or delivery. Issue goods and materials to authorised staff or customers as required. Monitor stock levels and report low stock, damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies to the supervisor. Maintain accurate records of goods received, issued, transferred, and remaining in stock. Assist with regular stock counts and ensure physical stock matches recorded balances. Inspect goods during loading, offloading, and storage to identify damaged or defective items. Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration. Keep the store and surrounding work area clean, orderly, and free from obstructions. Ensure all goods are properly arranged and stored according to company procedures. Support the Storekeeper or supervisor with inventory and warehouse activities. Follow all company procedures relating to stock control, safety, security, and proper handling of goods. Requirements: Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification. Previous experience: in a store, warehouse, or similar environment is an advantage. Good organisational and record keeping skills. Ability to count, identify, arrange, and handle goods accurately. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physically fit and able to load, offload, lift, and move goods when required. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with minimal supervision. Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.
