Read more about this company Accountant Job Type Full Time Qualification BA/BSc/HND , Professional Certificate Experience: 3 - 5 years Location Lagos Job Field Finance / Accounting / Audit Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain accurate records of all statutory payments and receipts, including Withholding Tax (WHT), revenue remittances, and other regulatory obligations. Prepare and monitor the Company’s monthly budgets, including payroll, procurement, and operational expenses. Manage petty cash disbursements and maintain detailed records of all related transactions and expenses. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulatory requirements, including Tax Clearance, NSITF, Pension, and other statutory obligations. Liaise with external auditors to ensure timely preparation and maintenance of annual audited financial statements and tax clearance documentation. Properly document, organize, and file all accounting and finance-related processes and records. Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for accounting documents, vouchers, receipts, and supporting records. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, government regulations, and statutory compliance requirements. Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to Management on financial decisions, improvements, and cost-saving opportunities. Provide support during internal and external audit exercises and ensure the timely availability of required documentation. Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow planning and monitoring. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and operational efficiency. Carry out any other finance and administrative duties as assigned by Management from time to time. Qualifications and Experience: BSc in Accounting or Finance. 3 – 5 years of experience: post NYSC. Must have completed NYSC ACA, ACCA, or ICAN will be an added advantage Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting standards.
