We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Hospitality Consultant Location: Jimeta - Yola, Adamawa Employment Type: Contract Background As part of its business, Jinaj Concept developed and constructed a serviced apartment facility in Jimeta, Yola, Adamawa State and intend to engage an experienced Hospitality Consultant to provide professional expertise and practical guidance to support the facility's operational structures and commencement of the Jinaj Apartment. Purpose of the Consultancy The purpose of this consultancy is to engage a qualified hospitality professional to provide specialized technical advice and practical guidance to Jinaj Concept for the successful setup and commencement of its serviced apartment operations in the state. The consultancy will support management to establish a professional, guest-focused and commercially viable hospitality operation. Scope of Services The selected consultant will provide guidance and practical support in the following key areas: Hospitality Operations and Service Standards: Advise on appropriate staffing requirements: and recruitment considerations. Map the guest experience: within the facility and establish service standards at key guest touchpoints. Develop practical Standard Operating Procedures covering key functions, including reservations, guest reception, check-in/check-out, housekeeping, maintenance coordination, security and general guest services. Strengthen staff capacity in customer service, professionalism, communication, guest handling and operational standards. Recommend appropriate systems for daily operations, record keeping, service monitoring and quality control. Develop key policies and procedures to guide staff management and day-to-day operations. Commercial and Revenue Management: Recommend appropriate room rates and pricing structures based on the target market and service offering. Identify potential customer segments, including business travelers, professionals, visitors, organisations and other relevant clients. Assess the proposed market positioning of the serviced apartment. Advise on packages, discounts and extended-stay options where appropriate. Recommend practical approaches for improving occupancy, repeat business and revenue. Guest Experience, Booking and Marketing: Develop practical approaches for customer retention, referrals and repeat bookings. Advise on the serviced apartment's online and offline market presence. Recommend appropriate digital platforms and communication channels for reaching target customers. Advise on the presentation and positioning of the serviced apartments in the market. Establish practical customer-service and complaint-handling procedures. Recommend an appropriate reservation and booking process. Pre-Opening Readiness and Handover: Identify critical operational gaps requiring attention before commencement of full operations. Provide final recommendations to facilitate a smooth transition into regular operations. Support management in testing key operational systems and guest-service processes. Provide a prioritised action plan for addressing identified gaps. Conduct an overall hospitality readiness assessment of the facility. Key Deliverables The consultant is expected to produce: Final Consultancy Report consolidating key findings, recommendations and priorities for management. Pre-Opening Readiness Assessment and Action Plan identifying priority gaps and required actions. Staffing and Training Plan, including roles, responsibilities: and capacity-building requirements. Hospitality Operations Framework, including recommended operating structure and service standards. Guest Experience: and Booking Framework, including reservations, customer service and complaint management. Commercial and Revenue Strategy, including market positioning, pricing and customer segments which include Airbnb Registration. Practical SOPs for critical serviced-apartment operations. Consultant Profile and Qualifications The consultant or consultancy firm should demonstrate: A minimum of 10 years' relevant professional experience: in hospitality management or consultancy. Demonstrable experience: in setting up, managing or providing consultancy services to hotels, serviced apartments, guest houses or similar hospitality businesses. Knowledge of the Nigerian hospitality market will be an advantage. Experience: in staff development and hospitality training. Experience: working with newly established hospitality facilities will be highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills. Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, guest experience: and service standards. Demonstrable understanding of pricing, revenue generation and hospitality marketing.
