We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Maintenance Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and general maintenance of the organisation's facilities, equipment, and utilities. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine inspection and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and electrical/mechanical systems. Identify and report faults, defects, and maintenance requirements: promptly. Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting where necessary. Coordinate and monitor external technicians and contractors when specialised repairs are required. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are properly followed. Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with established procedures. Monitor the condition of tools, equipment, and facility infrastructure. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional working environment. Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned. Requirements: OND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Technology, or a related technical discipline. Previous experience: in a maintenance or technical role is an added advantage. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general facility maintenance. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and respond promptly to maintenance issues. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates residing in Ikeja or its environs are strongly preferred. Must be physically fit and able to carry out routine maintenance activities.
