The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, coordinating stock movement, and ensuring that products are properly received, stored, recorded, and replenished. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with the purchasing and sales teams to ensure adequate stock availability. Record all stock received, issued, transferred, damaged, expired, or returned. Receive and inspect incoming goods and verify quantities against invoices and delivery notes. Monitor product expiry dates and take appropriate action to minimize losses. Identify and report cases of stock damage, wastage, theft, or loss. Track fast-moving, slow-moving, damaged, and expired products. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory databases and records. Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions. Monitor and maintain accurate records of all supermarket inventory. Ensure compliance with the supermarket's inventory control procedures. Support periodic stocktaking and audits. Monitor stock movement in and out of the supermarket. Ensure products are properly arranged, labelled, and stored. Monitor stock levels and identify items that need replenishment. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports. Assist management in improving stock control processes and reducing inventory losses. Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, or excesses. Assist with stock forecasting and replenishment planning. Keep inventory records organized and readily accessible. Requirements: Previous experience: in inventory management, stock control, retail, supermarket operations, or a related role. Strong sense of accountability and attention to company assets. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to identify and resolve stock discrepancies. Must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
