The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Electrical Technician to join our Engineering / Maintenance team. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and electrical testing to identify potential equipment failures. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems. Work closely with Engineers, Operations, Instrumentation and other technical teams to resolve equipment issues. Install, wire, terminate, and test electrical equipment and components. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring electrical failures. Troubleshoot electrical and control-system faults and escalate complex issues when required. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections and repairs. Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain and troubleshoot motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, and distribution boards. Ensure all electrical work is carried out in accordance with approved procedures, safety requirements: and applicable standards. Apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other electrical isolation procedures before commencing work. Support planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls and other maintenance activities. Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems. Requirements: OND or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Basic knowledge of PLCs and industrial control systems is an advantage. Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to equipment breakdowns. Experience: using electrical testing and measurement instruments. 5–10 years of relevant experience: in electrical maintenance, industrial operations, manufacturing, utilities or a similar environment. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Hands-on experience: maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical equipment. Good knowledge of motors, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, transformers, and electrical distribution systems. Good understanding of electrical safety, isolation, and LOTO procedures.
