The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational skills, be familiar with court procedures, and have prior experience: working within a litigation-focused law firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with court filings, document management, case administration, and other litigation support functions to ensure the smooth and efficient handling of legal matters. Key Responsibilities: Assist with administrative and clerical duties that support the Litigation Department. Provide regular updates on case progress, court dates, and filing deadlines to Senior Associates and the Practice Manager. File court processes and ensure timely service of legal documents in compliance with applicable court rules and procedures. Ensure the file room remains orderly, secure, and properly maintained at all times. Organize, label, shelve, and maintain assignment files for easy retrieval. Maintain proper custody, organization, and accurate records of all litigation files and court documents. Deliver legal documents, official letters, and other correspondence to courts, clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders as required. Prepare and draft minor court documents, including Affidavits of Service and other routine litigation documents. Manage the firm's litigation file room and archive, ensuring proper indexing, organization, and preservation of case files. Perform scanning, photocopying, printing, binding, and other document preparation tasks for court processes and legal correspondence. Monitor court filing deadlines, hearing dates, rulings, records of proceedings, and judgments, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting. Requirements: Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Familiarity with court registries, filing systems, and legal documentation. Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic document management systems. Good knowledge of Nigerian court filing procedures and litigation processes. Strong organizational and record management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 4–5 years' proven experience: as a Litigation Clerk in a reputable law firm. Minimum of an HND or Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline. Skills & Competencies: Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
