Job Title: Finance and Administrative Assistant Announcement Number: Abuja-2026-022 Location : Abuja Work Schedule: Full-time – 40 hours per week Summary The U.S. Embassy Abuja, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Finance and Administrative Assistant (Public Health Administrative Management Assistant) position in the Health Assistance Office. Duties The Finance/Administrative Assistant will report to the Deputy Coordinator and be responsible for managing health assistance information flow in the office, interagency communications, logistics for meetings and conferences, the Health Assistance Office calendar, organizing and tracking numerous interagency assignments and projects. The incumbent also serves as the lead budget and financial advisor to the Senior Foreign Assistance Coordinator. This is a senior level administrative support position. The incumbent, along with the interagency finance team helps prepare the annual funding requests, including sections of the Operational Plan including the Health Assistance Office budget. The incumbent utilizes, maintains and provides administrative and technical support for various budget and programmatic databases including FACTS Info (Foreign Assistance Coordination and Tracking System), Expenditure Analysis and the GHSD Exchange. Requirements: Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields is required. NYSC Certificate/Exemption is required. Evaluations: You will be evaluated against the qualifications and requirements: in this vacancy announcement. You may be asked to complete a pre-employment language or skills test. Skills And Abilities: Ability to collect and analyze data and prepare precise and accurate reports is required. Excellent written and communication skills to communicate with the interagency health team and external stakeholders is required. Incumbent must be able to think critically and have excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with all the USG agencies. Ability to use MS office applications including Word, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Ability to manage complex budget data including ability to use database management applications to manage increasingly complex budgets is required. Keyboarding and numerical skills are required.
