We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Community Pharmacist Location : Lagos Job Summary We are seeking a licensed and customer-focused Community Pharmacist to oversee the operations of a community pharmacy, ensure the safe and ethical dispensing of medications, provide pharmaceutical advice, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for profitable operations of the pharmacy Handle customer inquiries and resolve medication-related concerns professionally. Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and medication therapy management programs in the pharmacy’s community. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient pharmacy operations. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of the pharmacy. Monitor inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products. Dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions. Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation. Counsel patients on the safe use of prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage. Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and professional standards governing pharmacy practice. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm ) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.). NYSC completion certificate or exemption (where applicable). Current license to practice issued by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). 2 - 5 years’ experience: in a community/wholesale’s pharmacy. Skills & Competencies Ability to work independently and as a team leader. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays where necessary. Good organizational and inventory management skills. Strong ethical standards and professionalism. Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and patient counselling skills. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
