The role will ensure accurate inventory records, strong controls, timely reconciliations, and effective coordination between Operations, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, and Field teams. The Battery Distribution & Accounting Lead will oversee the efficient distribution, tracking, reconciliation, and financial accountability of MAX’s battery inventory across locations. Key Responsibilities: Identify opportunities to automate and improve battery tracking, reconciliation, and reporting processes. Establish and enforce controls around battery issuance, transfers, custody, returns, write-offs, and disposals to minimize losses and leakage. Develop and improve SOPs and processes for battery distribution, tracking, reconciliation, and accountability. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, and Technology teams to improve battery visibility and operational efficiency. Partner with Finance to ensure accurate accounting, valuation, and reporting of battery inventory and related transactions. Conduct regular inventory counts and investigations into shortages, overages, and unexplained discrepancies. Monitor battery inventory levels, utilization, losses, damages, and stock movements, ensuring optimal availability across locations. Prepare periodic dashboards and management reports covering inventory position, distribution, utilization, variances, and financial exposure. Manage the end-to-end distribution and movement of batteries across MAX locations, hubs, and operational sites. Reconcile physical battery counts with system records and financial/accounting records, identifying and resolving variances. Maintain accurate records of battery receipts, transfers, allocations, deployments, returns, repairs, and disposals. KPIs Reduction in inventory leakage and unresolved discrepancies Distribution and reconciliation turnaround time Inventory variance/shrinkage rate Battery inventory accuracy Battery utilization and availability Battery loss and damage rate Accuracy and timeliness of battery reporting Key Requirements: Strong experience: in inventory reconciliation, financial controls, and data analysis. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience: with ERP, accounting, or inventory management systems. 4–7 years’ experience: in inventory management, accounting, asset management, supply chain, logistics, or a related function. Experience: in mobility, energy, battery operations, logistics, or another asset-intensive environment is an advantage. High attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of operational and financial data. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
