We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Technician (Blow Moulding Machines) Location: Onitsha, Anambra Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of blow moulding machines and related production equipment. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician with hands-on expertise in plastic injection moulding machines to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate must possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent fault diagnosis skills, and hands-on experience: in a plastic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to ensure maximum machine uptime. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and increasing productivity. Ensure compliance with company safety standards and maintenance procedures. Ensure proper lubrication and routine servicing of production equipment. Collaborate with production personnel to improve machine performance and operational efficiency. Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on blow moulding machines. Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and implement effective corrective actions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports. Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gears, chains, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic components. Perform machine overhauls and equipment alignment when required. Requirements: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission systems, and industrial maintenance practices. Strong communication and teamwork skills. NYSC or discharge certificate Experience: working with Bekum, Jomar, Parker, Magic, Kautex, Uniloy, or similar blow moulding machines. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. 3–6 years of hands-on experience: maintaining blow moulding machines in a plastic manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and under pressure with minimal supervision. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment manuals. Knowledge of plastic processing operations and production line equipment. Minimum of OND, HND, or Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
