The Legal Repossession Manager is a multifaceted role responsible for managing and minimizing credit losses by ensuring effective vendor and litigation monitoring, as well as overseeing the efficient management of the Bank’s repossession processes and assets. Key Responsibilities: Conduct physical inspections and ensure complete documentation of properties and assets newly proposed for sale prior to listing. Evaluate delinquent accounts and recommend effective legal recovery actions or strategies. Operate within delegated authority levels, ensuring sufficient mandates to perform daily operations. Maintain and update litigation portfolio records, including the release of legal documents. Oversee effective and efficient repossession and disposal processes, ensuring the availability of secured storage facilities and the realization of attributable security. Provide clear guidance to ensure that properties and assets listed for sale are under the Bank’s absolute authority to sell, free from any encumbrances. Manage recoveries related to the write-off portfolio. Address and resolve customer queries efficiently. Obtain approvals and release original title documents to successful buyers of assets or properties. Review reports from Debt Recovery Agents and provide necessary feedback or responses. Requirements: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies across multiple risk types. First Degree in law Proven experience: in field collections, recovery processes and, repossessions Proficiency in data analytics. Relevant professional certifications on Risk and Collections is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
