This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial strategies that align with the company’s goals. The Finance Officer will assist in managing all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Assist in developing and overseeing financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts. Budget Management: Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources. Manage the preparation and implementation of budgets. Monitor and report on budget variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions. Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders, including board members and investors. Assist in developing and maintaining financial reporting systems and processes. Assist in the the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Cash Flow Management and Treasury: Receivables & payables management. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements: to optimize cash management, liquidity management, and treasury operations. Compliance and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, conducting regular risk assessments. Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and company policies. Job Requirements: Experience: in oil and gas is a plus Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. ICAN ACA. ACCA certification is a plus. Must be a resident of Portharcourt city (B.Sc) or Upper Credit (HND) in Accounting with 1 year working experience: in finance / accounting Skills & Ability: Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities with little or no supervision. Proficient in financial management software and advanced Excel skills. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
