We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mechanical Workshop Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our automotive mechanical workshop in Abuja. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the mechanical workshop. Supervise, coordinate, and motivate technicians and workshop staff. Diagnose and oversee repairs, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of vehicles. Ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high professional standard. Monitor workshop productivity, job quality, turnaround time, and customer satisfaction. Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment. Review and approve technical repair recommendations and estimates. Maintain accurate workshop records, job cards, and maintenance reports. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workshop operating procedures. Identify training and development needs for workshop personnel. Work closely with the Service Advisors, Parts Department, and Management to ensure smooth operations. Control workshop resources and minimize unnecessary costs and wastage. Requirements: Relevant technical qualification/certification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field Minimum of 10 years relevant experience: in automotive mechanical workshop operations. Proven experience: managing a team of mechanics/technicians. Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, servicing, and repairs. Experience: with modern vehicles and automotive diagnostic equipment. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience: in a reputable automobile dealership, workshop, or automotive service centre is an advantage.
