We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Surface Preparation Technician / Abrasive Blaster Location: Nigeria Summary We are seeking qualified and experiencedto support industrial and oil & gas coating projects. Responsibilities: Inspect prepared surfaces before coating application. Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions. Prepare surfaces to specified cleanliness and surface-profile requirements. Maintain blasting equipment and report defects or unsafe conditions. Carry out abrasive blasting and other surface preparation activities. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, HSE requirements: and quality standards. Key Requirements: Experience: preparing steel structures, pipelines, tanks and other industrial surfaces for protective coating. Minimum of 3 years’ experience: in surface preparation and industrial coating works. Relevant blasting/coating certifications will be an added advantage. Good knowledge of HSE requirements, PPE and safe work practices. Ability to operate and maintain blasting equipment safely. Ability to use surface profile gauges, DFT gauges and other inspection tools. Experience: with abrasive blasting, grit blasting and mechanical surface preparation. Knowledge of surface preparation standards such as Sa 2½, Sa 3, St 2 and St 3.
