We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Urban Planning & Real Estate Development Director Location : Abuja Role Description The role also involves engaging with public authorities, investors, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong partnerships, and contributing to Palton Morgan’s strategic growth and market leadership. The Director will manage cross-functional project teams, supervise due diligence and budgeting activities, and ensure projects meet financial, design, sustainability, and timeline objectives. The Urban Planning & Real Estate Development Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja. This individual oversees the end-to-end planning and execution of urban development and real estate projects, from concept through completion. Key responsibilities: include leading feasibility analyses, coordinating master planning and land use strategies, and aligning developments with regulatory requirements: and community needs. Qualifications Demonstrable experience: dealing with government planning authorities and securing development approvals. Experience: performing comprehensive Due Diligence, covering legal, technical, environmental, and regulatory aspects. 12–15+ years of progressive experience: in urban planning, real estate development, master planning, property development, or a closely related field. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with government agencies, investors, and community representatives. Strong experience: working across the full development lifecycle, from concept and master planning through approvals and implementation. Leadership experience: in a senior role within real estate, construction, or urban development, with a track record of delivering projects in Nigeria or similar markets. Experience: working on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments will be strongly preferred. Proficiency in Budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight for complex development projects. Relevant academic background, such as a Degree in Urban Planning, Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or professional certification in real estate or project management is an advantage. Ability to conduct and interpret Feasibility Studies, including market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment. Demonstrable experience: leading the planning and development of large-scale estates, master-planned communities, mixed-use developments, new towns, or major property developments. Proven experience: managing multidisciplinary professional consultants. Experience: in Abuja/FCT development and planning regulations will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated Project Management skills, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, timelines, and deliverables. Strong expertise in Real Estate Development, with proven experience: leading large-scale urban and mixed-use projects.
