Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Entry level Experience: Length: 1 year Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Lagos, Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Provide legal and compliance advice to the Company and its subsidiaries. Draft, review and manage contracts, corporate documents and legal records. Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licences and internal policies. Support regulatory filings, licence renewals and engagement with relevant regulators. Maintain the Company’s compliance calendar, contract register, statutory records and corporate filings. Provide company secretarial support, including preparing board and shareholder meeting materials, minutes and resolutions. Support dispute management, legal research, external counsel coordination and regulatory enquiries. Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend practical corrective actions. Support internal legal, compliance and ethics awareness initiatives. Perform other related duties assigned by management. Requirements: LL.B. from a recognised institution. Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (B.L.) and called to the Nigerian Bar. One (1) to two (2) years’ relevant post-call experience: in legal practice, in-house legal, compliance, corporate services or a regulated industry. Working knowledge of Nigerian corporate, commercial, contract and regulatory law. Experience: or familiarity with company secretarial duties, Corporate Affairs Commission filings and corporate governance requirements. Exposure to the oil and gas, energy, logistics, trading or other regulated sectors will be an advantage. Strong legal drafting, contract review, research, analytical and communication skills. High integrity, sound judgement, discretion, attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
