This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who can bring structure, accountability and efficiency to the workplace while supporting management in building a productive and disciplined workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving effective people management, strengthening administrative operations, and ensuring the proper design, implementation and compliance with the company’s policies, processes and procedures. Our client, a growing company operating within the agro-allied industry, is seeking a dynamic, experienced and results-driven HR/Admin Manager to join its team. Key Responsibilties Human Resources Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation. Promote employee engagement, teamwork, discipline and a positive workplace culture. Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, performance management, disciplinary processes and exit procedures. Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures and systems in line with the company’s objectives and applicable labour regulations. Ensure compliance with company policies, employment contracts and relevant labour laws. Coordinate recruitment activities to ensure the company attracts and selects qualified and suitable employees. Develop and implement employee performance management systems, including KPIs, performance reviews and performance improvement plans. Handle employee relations matters professionally and ensure proper resolution of workplace issues. Identify employee training and development needs and coordinate relevant training programmes. Administration & Operations: Monitor office/facility management, staff welfare, logistics and general administrative services. Coordinate company assets, office supplies and administrative resources. Monitor adherence to approved processes and escalate breaches or operational concerns to management. Oversee the day-to-day administrative activities of the company. Work with departmental heads to ensure effective implementation of company policies and procedures. Ensure proper documentation and filing of company records. Support management in improving operational efficiency and workplace standards. Develop and enforce administrative procedures that improve efficiency and accountability. Policy, Process & Compliance: Review existing policies and processes and identify areas requiring improvement. Identify operational gaps and recommend practical solutions. Maintain proper HR and administrative documentation for audit and management purposes. Lead the implementation of approved company policies and procedures. Conduct periodic compliance checks to ensure employees and departments adhere to established processes. Keep management informed of significant HR, administrative and employee-related issues. Management Support: Provide management with professional advice on employee, administrative and workplace matters. Support organisational planning, manpower planning and workforce development. Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management. Work closely with management and departmental heads to ensure HR and administrative activities support business objectives. Prepare periodic HR and administrative reports for management. Requirements: Professional certification or membership of CIPM or another recognised HR professional body is an added advantage. 3 - 5 years of relevant experience: in HR and Administration, preferably in a structured organisation or manufacturing/agro-allied environment. Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Management, Sociology or a related field. Candidates must be willing to work and reside in Awka/Akwuzu, Anambra State. Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, recruitment and performance management.
