Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, verifying dosages, preparing and dispensing medications, and providing clear counseling to patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions. The role involves maintaining accurate patient and inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. The Pharmacist collaborates with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy, supports medication therapy management, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. The role also includes guiding pharmacy support staff, promoting patient safety, and contributing to a customer-focused, respectful care environment. Qualifications Strong clinical pharmacy skills, including prescription review, drug utilization evaluation, and medication therapy management. Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical care best practices. Proficiency in pharmacy operations such as dispensing, inventory management, and documentation using pharmacy software systems. Excellent patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse patients and healthcare partners. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, on-site pharmacy setting. Commitment to ethical practice, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Minimum of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution. Current pharmacist license/registration in good standing with relevant regulatory authorities. Previous experience in community or hospital pharmacy is an advantage. Willingness to work full time on-site in Ikeja, including evenings or weekends as required.
