We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Amuwo Odofin, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Purpose of the Role The financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient financial operations. The role focuses on overseeing financial activities, preparing reports, managing budgets, and ensuring the company’s financial health. The ideal candidate will have experience: in cost monitoring and possess a strong understanding of financial and regulatory frameworks. Key Responsibilities: Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Monitor inventory costing and valuation of all goods. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts Monitor Expenditures and Perform variance analysis to provide actionable insights. Oversee and report on accounts payable with its processes. Ensure compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards Updating and maintaining the Fixed Assets register and posting depreciation/Amortisation. Cross-checking daily posting of entries and reconciling major supplier accounts. Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Prepare and file VAT, WHT, and CIT returns in compliance with Nigerian tax laws. Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances Requirements: A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria . Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of [5] years of experience: as a Financial Accountant, preferably in the medical consumables and equipment supply industry. Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CPA) is required. Key Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
