We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Field Team Leader, DTM Vacancy ID: VAC-69762 Location: Jalingo, Taraba Overview of position Under the overall guidance of the DTM Program Officer and the technical and direction supervision of the DTM Project Assistant / Senior Program Associate, the successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for collecting data as part of the DTM mobility tracking, registration, flow monitoring points, urveys, among other tools and tasks. S / he will work in close collaboration with the field teams and partners in the areas(s) s/ he has been assigned to. Role objectives S / he will perform the under-listed functions, not limited to the following. Assist in the implementation of data collection exercises in the field in close collaboration with the government counterparts and NRSC, and other relevant partners in the field. Assist in day-to-day monitoring and evaluation of the DTM activities related to Mobility, Registration, Flow-monitoring, and Surveys, particularly the work of enumerators, key informants, the quality of the data collection process, and, where applicable, suggest areas of improvement to the respective supervisors. Ensure the timely collection and submission of data using mobile data collection techniques and related tools/forms. Further, ensure the completed questionnaires/finalised forms are submitted to the DTM Kobo server in the required format and within the required timeline. Maintain the highest level of accuracy and integrity in all assessments by implementing rigorous quality checks to ensure that assessment processes are consistently applied, efficient, and standardised. In the absence of the supervisor, ensure time management is followed, including enumerators clocking in/out, signing the timesheets, and following up with the DTM Admin on the enumerators’ work. Adhere to the Data Protection Policy and Principles, promote individual and cultural differences, encourage diversity by maintaining high ethical standards, and act consistently with organizational principles / rules and standards of conduct. Coordinate with the office on staff deployment to the field and pick up, including coordination with relevant partners to secure the registration sites and the safety of the staff. Work composed, competent, and committed and exercise careful judgment in meeting day-to-day challenges, including the flexibility to be deployed or redeployed under short notice, where deemed necessary. Assist with the capacity building of the Enumerators and partners, including providing related training support on activities linked to DTM methodology and tools. Maintain effective teamwork and communication with the DTM field staff/ Enumerators, partners, key informants, and the other relevant stakeholders, including the DTM Information Management (IM) Team and Office Management in Maiduguri. Support the implementation of community engagement, mobilisation, and sensitisation programmes linked to DTM or other Programmes. Support the compilation of field location weekly and monthly reports. Perform other duties as they might be assigned. Project reporting: This role will report to DTM Project Assistant / Senior Program Associate. Education: and Experience: Experience: in data collection and information management, preferably in conflict and natural disaster situations. Minimum of one year of experience: in monitoring teams during data collection. Certificate/ Diploma and/or Degree in Social Science, Geography, IT, Computer Science or any other relevant field. Experience: with International Organizations, UN, INGO, NNGO is an advantage. Experience: in Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) data collection is an advantage. Key competencies: Capacity to learn and gain new competencies while accepting/giving constructive criticism. Ability to work in challenging settings under pressure while respecting tight deadlines. Good knowledge of the geography and culture of Yobe State, Nigeria. Ability to work independently and multitasking skills. Ability to work with flexibility and integrity. Good management and interpersonal skills. Ability to organise an information flow. Computer use knowledge, including Microsoft Office and the ability to use the internet and email.
