The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and rational use of medicines while delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to patients. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, ethical standards, and organizational policies. Accurately review, prepare, and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards. Counsel patients on the safe use of medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, interactions, and storage. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff where applicable. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs. Monitor patients for adverse drug reactions and provide appropriate pharmaceutical interventions. Manage medication inventory, including stock control, expiry monitoring, and procurement requests. Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment. Verify prescription accuracy and resolve any medication-related issues with prescribers when necessary. Maintain accurate patient medication records and ensure confidentiality always. Stay updated on developments in pharmaceutical practice through continuous professional development. Participate in medication therapy management and clinical decision-making. Requirements: Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Valid practicing license with the relevant Pharmacy Regulatory Authority (PCN). Demonstrated ability to remain composed, exercise sound judgment, and make well-reasoned decisions in high-pressure or fast-paced clinical environments. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Excellent communication and patient counseling skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and pharmaceutical regulations. Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience: in a hospital, community, or retail pharmacy (preferred).
