We are recruting for the position below: Job Title: Agronomist Locations: Bauchi, Kaduna and Nasarawa Employment Type: Full-time Job Description Implement innovations that improve operational efficiency and sustainability. Train, supervise, and guide farm workers on agronomic best practices. Monitor field activities and ensure tasks are completed according to schedule. Monitor crop growth and recommend appropriate agronomic interventions. Plan and supervise irrigation schedules to ensure optimal crop performance. Develop and implement tomato production plans and schedules. Ensure compliance with farm operating procedures and safety standards. Develop fertilizer application programs based on soil and crop needs. Ensure proper land preparation, nursery management, transplanting, and harvesting activities. Analyze production data and prepare regular agronomic reports. Maintain accurate records of planting, fertilization, irrigation, pest control, and harvest activities. Conduct soil sampling and analyze soil fertility requirements. Monitor soil moisture levels and water use efficiency. Requirements: 3 – 5 years' experience: in large commercial vegetable farming. Bachelor's Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Soil Science, Horticulture, or a related field. Experience: with greenhouse and open-field tomato production is an added advantage. Knowledge of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Skills: Ability to work independently Strong decision-making and critical thinking abilities.
