This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional to gain practical, hands-on experience: while developing a strong foundation in accounting and finance under the supervision of the Junior Accountant. The Accounting Intern will provide support across day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, financial data entry, reconciliations, tax documentation, reporting, and audit support. We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated Accounting Interns to join our Finance & Accounting team. Key Responsibilities: Retrieve and provide financial documents and information when requested. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the Junior Accountant. Assist with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records. Ensure accounting documents are complete, properly approved, and appropriately filed. Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting systems and maintain supporting documentation. Organize and maintain physical and digital accounting records. Assist with the preparation and organization of audit documentation. Assist in gathering documentation for tax and statutory compliance activities, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other applicable filings. Support the preparation of financial schedules, reports, and reconciliations. Assist with the preparation, processing, and filing of invoices and billing records. Support bank, client, and other account reconciliations by compiling and matching transaction data. Qualifications & Requirements: Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information. Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Good organizational and time-management skills. 0–1 year of accounting or finance experience, including internship, industrial training, NYSC, or entry-level experience. A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or currently pursuing a relevant degree. Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platformsis an advantage. Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic knowledge of financial documentation, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
