The Group Head, New Media will be responsible for leading the Dangote Group's digital communications function and driving the Group's digital presence, online reputation, and audience engagement across all digital platforms. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership for the New Media Office, overseeing digital communications strategy, corporate websites, social media, content development, multimedia production, digital monitoring, reputation intelligence, and real-time communications. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the New Media Office, ensuring operational excellence and high team performance. Develop policies, standards, and governance frameworks for digital communications across the Group. Drive innovation by identifying and adopting emerging digital media trends, technologies, and best practices. Develop and implement the Group's digital communications strategy in alignment with corporate objectives. Digital Platforms & Content Management: Direct the production of high-quality multimedia content, including videos, graphics, photography, animations, and digital campaigns. Oversee editorial planning, content calendars, publishing schedules, and digital content distribution. Lead the management, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Group's corporate websites and digital platforms. Establish content governance standards to ensure consistency, quality, accessibility, and alignment with the Dangote brand. Social Media & Digital Engagement: Oversee community management and stakeholder engagement across digital platforms. Develop initiatives that enhance the Group's digital visibility and strengthen executive thought leadership. Lead the management of all corporate social media platforms and digital engagement channels. Design and implement strategies to grow digital audiences, improve engagement, and strengthen brand advocacy. Digital Reputation Management: Identify emerging digital issues, risks, and opportunities and provide proactive recommendations. Oversee social listening, media monitoring, sentiment analysis, and digital intelligence activities. Lead the Group's digital reputation management strategy. Coordinate real-time digital communications during issues, incidents, and crisis situations to protect the Group's reputation. Analytics & Performance Management: Use data and insights to continuously improve content effectiveness, audience engagement, and digital platform performance. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all digital communication activities. Produce regular performance dashboards and strategic reports for executive leadership. Stakeholder Collaborations: Provide strategic digital communications counsel to senior leadership and support enterprise-wide communication initiatives. Coordinate digital communications initiatives across the Group to maintain consistency, brand integrity, and effective stakeholder engagement. Partner with Corporate Communications, Branding, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Sustainability, Business Units, and Executive Leadership to ensure aligned messaging across all digital channels. Qualifications & Experience: 12 - 15 years' relevant experience: in digital communications, media, corporate communications, or related fields. Demonstrated experience: within a large corporate organization, multinational company, media organization, or leading communications agency. At least 5 years' experience: in a senior leadership role managing enterprise-wide digital communications functions. A Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage. Proven track record of developing and executing digital communications strategies that enhance brand reputation and stakeholder engagement. Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
