This is a foundational hire, you will be the first and only Nigerian team member, responsible for managing all local operations that require physical presence. Min Qualification: Degree Experience: Level: Mid level Experience: Length: 3 years Language Requirement: English Working Hours: Full Time - 8 to 5 Applicant Location: Nigeria Job descriptions & requirements: Responsibilities: Regulatory and Government Office Liaison: Attend NIPEX, NOGIC-JQS, DPR, and other relevant government offices in person when applications, renewals, or registrations require physical follow-up or chasing supporting documentation, and applications will be prepared by headquarters Monthly Field Reporting: Submit a concise written monthly report to the Director covering buyer meeting outcomes, tender follow-up status, delivery updates, and any on-the-ground intelligence relevant to the business Buyer Relationship Management: Build and maintain active relationships with procurement and technical teams at Dangote Refinery, NNPC refineries (Port Harcourt, Warri, Kaduna), modular refineries (Walter Smith, Aradel), and EPC contractors operating in Nigeria Attend procurement meetings, technical discussions, and site visits at refinery locations across Nigeria, representing the company at senior procurement level Identify and develop new buyer contacts and opportunities, feeding intelligence back to headquarters Tender Submission and In-Person Follow-Up Submit tenders and quotations prepared by headquarters onto NIPEX and directly to buyers, within required deadlines Attend any in-person clarification meetings, technical presentations, or site inspections required during the bid process Follow up with procurement contacts in person to progress live bids and maintain visibility with decision-makers Port, Logistics, and Delivery Supervision Liaise directly with customs clearing agents at Lagos, Port Harcourt and other ports essential for all incoming equipment shipments Supervise port clearance and arrange inland transportation of equipment from port to refinery site, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Confirm delivery completion to headquarters and manage any on-site handover requirements: Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of experience: in the Nigerian oil and gas sector in a commercial, business development, procurement, or supply chain role Demonstrable existing relationships with procurement or technical teams at one or more of: Dangote Refinery, NNPC refineries, or major EPC contractors operating in Nigeria Hands-on experience: with Nigerian port clearing, customs procedures, and inland logistics for imported equipment Strong understanding of the NIPEX tender process and Nigerian Content requirements: Excellent written and spoken English Confident, well-presented, and comfortable representing the company at senior procurement levels Preferred Requirements: Prior experience: in an equipment supply, trading, or commission agency environment Technical familiarity with refinery machinery and process equipment Existing contacts at Walter Smith, Aradel, or other modular refineries Understanding of letter of credit (LC) payment processes in international trade Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience: Performance incentive linked to deal closures All business travel within Nigeria covered Opportunity to grow with the business as it scales across West Africa Direct working relationship with UK and Nigerian leadership Log In and Apply Important safety tips Do not make any payment without confirming with the Jobberman Customer Support Team.
