The ideal candidate will combine strong IT support skills with creativity and practical experience: managing social media platforms, creating content, and promoting the school's activities and achievements online. We are seeking a technically skilled and digitally savvy IT & Social Media Officer to provide day-to-day technology support while managing and growing the school's digital presence. Key Responsibilities: IT Support: Provide first-level technical support to staff and students. Install, configure, and maintain computers, software, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment. Manage user accounts, passwords, software updates, backups, and basic IT security. Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet, printer, and basic network-related issues. Provide basic technical assistance during school events, meetings, presentations, and examinations. Liaise with external IT vendors or service providers when specialised support is required. Support the smooth operation of the school's digital learning tools and systems. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and technology resources. Social Media & Digital Content: Schedule and publish content consistently. Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and audience engagement. Support the school's digital marketing, admissions, events, and promotional campaigns. Capture and edit photos and short-form videos for social media. Manage the school's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms. Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar. Track social media performance and provide regular reports and recommendations. Create engaging content around school activities, academic achievements, events, student projects, staff activities, and announcements. Write engaging captions and copy that reflect the school's brand and values. School Digital Support: Work closely with management and academic staff to identify content opportunities. Ensure all published content maintains a professional image and protects student privacy. Help improve the school's online visibility and digital presence. Support the creation of digital materials for school events, announcements, and campaigns. Requirements: Good knowledge of Canva and basic photo/video editing tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience: managing social media pages for an organisation, school, business, or brand. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. 3–4 years of relevant experience: in IT support and/or social media management. Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Good understanding of computers, networks, printers, software installation, and basic IT security. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Ability to create engaging and professional digital content. Bachelor's Degree, HND, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Added Advantage: Previous experience: working in a school or educational institution. Experience: with Meta Business Suite and social media analytics. Basic knowledge of website management. Experience: with school management systems or learning management systems.
