We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Storekeeper Location: Aba, Abia Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary that materials and supplies are available when required and that wastage, damage and stock discrepancies are minimized. The Storekeeper will also be responsible for maintaining proper documentation, monitoring stock movement, conducting regular stock counts and ensuring that the store is clean, secure and well organized. The role is critical to ensuring We are seeking a reliable, organized and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the day-to-day operations of our store. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, recording and issuing goods and materials while ensuring that stock levels are accurately maintained. This reflects the core responsibilities: commonly listed in current Nigerian Storekeeper vacancies, including inventory control, accurate record-keeping, stock reconciliation and proper storage. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock received, issued, transferred and returned. Apply appropriate stock rotation procedures, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) where applicable. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with recorded balances. Protect company property against loss, theft, damage and unauthorized access. Arrange and store items appropriately to ensure easy identification and retrieval. properly recorded in the relevant stock registers or inventory system. Monitor stock levels and notify management when items are running low or need to be reordered. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports as required. Assist with periodic inventory audits and management inspections. Issue materials and supplies only upon authorized requisitions. Monitor expiry dates of perishable or time-sensitive items and ensure expired items are not issued for use. Maintain cleanliness, safety and proper organization of the store. Ensure proper labeling and identification of all stock items. Ensure that all received items are Perform other store-related duties as may be assigned by management. Maintain proper documentation for all store transactions. Receive, inspect and verify incoming goods and materials against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes. Requirements: and Qualifications 1–3 years' relevant experience: as a Storekeeper, Store Officer, Inventory Officer, Warehouse Assistant or in a similar position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience: in a structured organization will be an advantage. Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
