Because Yingke is a global advisory network heavily engaged with cross-border investments, foreign corporate clients, and domestic businesses, this role demands technical competency in local statutory tax rules combined with an understanding of international corporate structures. Key Responsibilities: Prepare Tax Computations: Prepare accurate tax computations and schedules for applicable taxes in line with relevant Nigerian tax laws and regulations. Monitor Regulatory Changes: Keep up to date with relevant changes in Nigerian tax laws and regulations and support the implementation of necessary changes. Review Tax Treatment: Review financial transactions and accounting records to ensure appropriate tax treatment and identify potential tax compliance issues. Manage Tax Compliance: Support the timely preparation, filing, and payment of statutory tax returns and obligations. Support Tax Audits & Queries: Assist with tax audits, reviews, and queries from relevant tax authorities and other stakeholders. Tax Reconciliation & Journals: Prepare tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, and investigate discrepancies where necessary. Maintain Tax Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules for regulatory and internal purposes. Requirements: & Qualifications Communication: Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software. Experience: 2–3 years' relevant experience: in tax accounting, tax compliance, or a related accounting role. Accounting Knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles, financial records, journal entries, and reconciliations. Tax Knowledge: Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, statutory tax requirements, tax computations, filings, and reconciliations. Professional Qualification: ICAN, ACCA, CITN, or other relevant professional qualification is an added advantage. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related field. Key Technical Competencies Required: Nigeria Tax Framework: Deep familiarity with local corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax (WHT), PAYE, capital gains tax, and tax portal procedures (TaxPro-Max / NRS). Reconciliation & Reporting: Capability to handle tax accounting journal entries, IFRS-to-tax profit reconciliations, and schedule preparation for regulatory filings and annual tax returns. Cross-Border & Advisory Tax: Understanding Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs), transfer pricing principles, foreign exchange tax rules, and localizing tax obligations for foreign investors entering Nigeria.
