The role is responsible for developing and executing e-commerce strategies, managing online platforms and marketplaces, optimizing digital marketing and merchandising, and achieving agreed revenue and commercial targets. The E-Commerce Manager will lead the company's e-commerce operations to drive sales growth, profitability, customer acquisition and retention, while delivering a seamless online customer experience. Responsibilities: Strategy & Commercial Growth: Identify underperforming areas and implement strategies to improve sales, conversion, customer acquisition, and retention. Identify new marketplaces, digital channels, partnerships, and commercial opportunities to increase revenue. Collaborate with Store Managers and other stakeholders to develop initiatives that attract and retain customers and expand existing accounts. Develop and execute e-commerce strategies aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and revenue targets. Develop and optimize digital marketing strategies, campaigns, investments, and initiatives to improve profitability and performance. Translate Management decisions into effective execution and ensure clear communication across relevant stakeholders. Data, Market & Performance Analysis: UtilizeGoogle Analytics and other analytics toolsto understand customer journeys and identify growth opportunities. Monitor competitor activity, web sales trends, search performance, and market developments. Use analytics to monitor sales trends, customer behaviour, product performance, traffic, and campaign effectiveness. Track and optimize digital advertising, search engine traffic, conversion rates, and marketing ROI. Develop a strong understanding of customer needs, product categories, market opportunities, and emerging e-commerce trends. Oversee on-site search, online merchandising, category development, and product performance, drivingcross-selling and upsellingto improveUPT and AOV. Monitor stock availability and analyze web sales against store and inventory performance. Online Platform & Customer Experience: Analyze website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion data to improve navigation, usability, and overall online performance. Develop and implement strategies to deliver a seamlessomnichannel customer experience. Monitor competitor offerings and ensure SKLD’s online proposition remains competitive and aligned with customer expectations. Establish and maintain effective customer engagement, feedback, and complaints-resolution processes. Ensure timely resolution of online customer complaints and continuously improve the digital customer experience. Oversee the design, functionality, maintenance, and performance of SKLD’s website, web portals, and online marketplaces. Direct and coordinate software developers, copywriters, graphic designers, and other digital resources in line with e-commerce strategy. Leadership & Team Management: Lead, coach, motivate, and manage the e-commerce team to achieve and exceed performance targets. Set team objectives, allocate resources, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of operational reports. Manage and optimize e-commerce assets, resources, and operational processes to ensure effective utilization and accountability. Promote innovation, continuous learning, professional standards, and adherence to health and safety requirements. Train and coach team members on e-commerce marketing, product knowledge, merchandising, stock management, sales, customer service, and industry best practices. Participate in the recruitment and development of e-commerce professionals. Requirements: Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data and insights into revenue-generating strategies. Minimum of 5 years experience: in E-Commerce Management or a similar role, preferably within online retail or a commercially driven environment. Proficiency inMicrosoft Office Suite, digital marketing and marketing management tools. Strong knowledge ofe-commerce frameworks, online retailing, digital marketing, SEO, website management, Google Analytics, advertising campaigns, marketing automation, inventory management, category development, and data analytics. Diploma/certification in Digital Marketing is an advantage. Professional E-Commerce Management certification or similar certification is an added advantage. HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or Master’s Degree in a business-related discipline is an added advantage.
