The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and accounting, with practical audit experience: and the ability to support both the financial management and day-to-day operational activities of the business. This is not a purely accounting role. We are looking for someone who understands financial controls, reconciliations, reporting, audit, compliance and business operations, and can take ownership of responsibilities: with minimal supervision. We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially aware Finance & Operations Officer to join our client’s team in Lekki. Key Responsibilities: Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial and operational records. Prepare periodic financial reports, schedules and management accounts. Manage day-to-day financial transactions, bookkeeping and accounting records. Support statutory and regulatory compliance activities. Review financial processes and identify control weaknesses, discrepancies and potential risks. Support management with financial analysis and other business performance reports. Monitor operational expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Investigate financial discrepancies and ensure timely resolution. Support internal and external audit processes and provide required schedules and documentation. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions. Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management. Coordinate administrative and operational processes to ensure smooth day-to-day business activities. Liaise with banks, vendors, auditors and other relevant stakeholders when required. Implement and monitor internal financial controls and operational procedures. Perform bank, cash, receivables and payables reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring. Perform other finance and operations duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Good understanding of internal controls, compliance and financial risk management. 3–6 years of relevant experience: in finance, accounting, audit or financial operations. ICAN qualification or currently in view is mandatory. Practical audit experience: is mandatory. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and reconciliations. Strong Excel and accounting software skills. Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Must be willing to work fully onsite in Lekki, Monday to Friday. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Experience: preparing financial reports and supporting audit assignments. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. N500,000 monthly.
