NNEC is committed to design and build more efficient, safer, reliable, and environmentally friendly facilities for the betterment of our clients and their communities. We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Marine Advisor I Location: Akwa Ibom Main Functions This will include assisting with the management and oversight of all associated critical contractors including tug, and port services providers. Works to assure the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers. Tasks and Responsibilities: Coordination of general and other activities at the marine terminal. Perform technical writing services. Provide project management services, and oversight of Marine Terminal related projects. Streamline and enhance operating practices. Prepare for, and implement industry best practices (Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment (MTMSA) and Marine Terminal Operator Competence & Training (MTOCT)). Support contractor interfacing and management through application of the oi System (oi) 8-1 practices including: Preparation for the Kickoff Meeting Self-monitoring reporting Contractor Work Crew Evaluation SSHE execution plan including gap closure plan Contractor assessment. Subcontractor management Preparation of Interface Management Plan (IMP) Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) leadership programs Coordination of tugs and port services. Make recommendations for improving safety. Provide assistance with, and oversight of Controls relates activities including marine fueling. Provide operational efficiency related advice. Assist with implementation and improvement of company Best Practices. Prepare and author training documents and assessment packages. Coordination of the Safety / Surveillance vessel. Review and update documents, manuals and procedures (Continuous Improvement). Perform vessel inspections and Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) related assessments. Implement additional systems and practices that are required. Perform marine coordination duties when required, this includes but is not limited to: Loading Master Personnel Transfer PTWS Skills and Qualfiications Experience: in the company operations organization – preferred. University Degree preferred. Strong culture of ‘Nobody Gets Hurt’. Knowledge of applied Operations Integrity Systems, specifically oi 8-1. Prior marine experience: as a senior officer position required. Candidates without the above requirements: will be considered, dependent on experience. Expert knowledge of current large tanker applied mooring operations and best practices. Master Mariners license required.
