We are recruiting to fill the position below: Job Title: Logistics Manager Location: Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Department: Operations Reports To: Operations Manager / General Manager Job Summary The Logistics Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the movement of materials, equipment, products, and personnel to ensure timely, cost-effective, and efficient logistics operations. Key Responsibilities: Logistics Planning & Coordination: Coordinate logistics schedules and routes to optimize time, resources, and costs. Ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are delivered to the right location at the required time. Plan and coordinate daily logistics activities, deliveries, pickups, and dispatches. Fleet & Transport Management: Coordinate the use, maintenance, and availability of company vehicles and logistics equipment. Monitor vehicle movement, fuel consumption, servicing, repairs, and documentation. Ensure drivers comply with company policies, safety requirements, and assigned schedules. Inventory & Materials Movement: Work with the Operations and Procurement teams to ensure adequate availability of required materials. Monitor stock movement and ensure proper documentation of items received, issued, and delivered. Coordinate the movement and distribution of cleaning supplies, equipment, consumables, and other operational materials. Delivery & Distribution: Track deliveries and promptly resolve delays, shortages, damages, or other logistics issues. Ensure deliveries are properly documented and acknowledged by clients or receiving sites. Supervise loading, dispatch, transportation, and delivery activities. Team Supervision: Support staff training and enforce accountability for company assets and materials. Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with operational procedures. Supervise drivers, dispatch riders, loaders, and other logistics personnel. Vendor & Third-Party Coordination: Support negotiation of competitive transportation and logistics rates where required. Coordinate with transporters, vendors, suppliers, and other logistics service providers. Monitor third-party service quality, cost, reliability, and compliance with agreed terms. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare regular logistics reports and highlight operational issues, costs, and improvement opportunities. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle usage, fuel, maintenance, expenses, and logistics activities. Ensure all relevant waybills, delivery notes, receipts, vehicle documents, and other records are properly maintained. Cost & Operational Efficiency: Ensure company logistics resources are used efficiently and responsibly. Monitor logistics expenses and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary costs. Improve routing, scheduling, vehicle utilization, and delivery processes. Compliance & Safety: Promote safe handling, transportation, and storage of company materials and equipment. Monitor vehicle and driver documentation, including licences, insurance, roadworthiness, and other relevant records. General Operations Support Provide logistics support for client sites, projects, events, procurement activities, and other operational requirements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Vehicle availability and maintenance compliance. Reduction and control of logistics costs. Accurate logistics and inventory documentation. Effective supervision and productivity of logistics personnel. Requirements: Good planning, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics/record-keeping tools. Strong knowledge of logistics coordination, fleet management, inventory movement, and delivery operations. 4–6years' relevant experience: in logistics, transportation, fleet, or operations management. Ability to manage multiple deliveries, personnel, and operational priorities simultaneously.
