Pact Microfinance Bank is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical and results-driven Finance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Bank’s financial operations, reporting, reconciliations, compliance and internal controls while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. Key Responsibilities: Identify process or control gaps and recommend improvements. Support tax, statutory and other regulatory financial obligations. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly bank and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by Management. Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation. Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Process invoices, payment requests and other financial documentation, ensuring appropriate approvals and supporting documents. Process and post financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial procedures and internal controls. Provide financial analysis and information to support management decision-making. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial information. Monitor accounts payable, receivable and cash flow. Support budgeting, financial forecasting and monitoring of expenditure against approved budgets. Prepare monthly management accounts and other financial reports. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records. Requirements: Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and internal controls. Professional accounting qualification or progress towards ICAN/ACCA is an advantage. Knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional judgement. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. 3–4 years of relevant experience: in finance, accounting or a similar role. Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management. Experience: in the banking, microfinance or financial services industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
