As a Regulatory Manager, you will be a part of our Tax Practice. You will be part of a team who identifies planning opportunities to help clients fulfill compliance responsibilities, avoid penalties as well as minimize tax burdens. Your key responsibilities: As a manager, you will advise on multiple and challenging Regulatory and tax advisory engagements and to contribute to the delivery of innovative tax and regulatory planning ideas for our diverse clients. To qualify for the role you must have Excellent managerial, organizational and written communication skills. Bachelor's Degree in Law (at least a second-class upper division) Minimum of 6 years of relevant regulatory compliance experience: or equivalent experience: in business or industry Ideally, you'll also have: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment Mature, proactive, committed, highly motivated and driven team player Skills and attributes for success: Identify, understand, and escalate clients’ compliance risk events/issues in a timely manner and focus on fixing the root causes of the issues. Monitor the implementation status of agreed-upon action points aimed at driving compliance. Coordinate a program of training and capacity-building activities for the team covering all key areas of compliance and regulatory developments Support clients to obtain necessary licenses, liaise with regulators, and ensure policy updates. Support the business to identify and reach out to potential clients Manage clients’ compliance obligations. Drafting tax alerts about changes to legislation and regulations or following policy statements or judgements Support clients in regulatory compliance, including the timely preparation and submission of regulatory filings such as annual returns, or a timely response to regulatory circulars Identifying opportunities to sell refund and recovery services. Maintaining effective client relationships. Collaborating on business development initiatives in specific industries targeting practice growth Undertake legal and regulatory research and assess and evaluate the impact of changes in applicable legislation and best international practices Effectively applying indirect tax knowledge to situations affecting clients. Participating and assisting in reaching Client Service Teams' goals. Leading development of recommendations and solution implementation plans and using professional judgment in making informed decisions on complex issues. Suggesting practical and innovative solutions to clients and reaching relevant conclusions.
